August 2018

Vol.: 2018-2019, No: 1

President's Welcome

Dear Family and Friends:

This is an exciting time to be part of the Pitt-Greensburg community.

I welcome our students and their families to this vibrant environment where students are not only learning for today but are expanding their minds to what may come tomorrow in this dynamic world. Together, we are investing in the future of each student.

In these newsletters, we will introduce you to the variety of activities and events occurring on campus throughout the year. We will bring you updates on the construction of our new Life Sciences facilities. Please join us in encouraging students to take part in these activities, like Mock Interview Night and our growing network of internships, in order to be better prepared for jobs and graduate school. Students can have a richer college experience when they discover what our campus facilities provide, too.

Finally, I invite you to visit our campus throughout the coming year and enjoy--frequently at no cost--the many cultural and educational events that are open to the public. These are always posted on our web site so be sure to check in regularly so you do not miss any of the excitement.

Hail to Pitt!

Sharon P. Smith, PhD
President
University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg
