Happenings The Pitt-Greensburg Study Abroad Office invites students of color to apply to the Frederick Douglass Global Fellowship. Ten students from across the United States are selected to participate each year. Applications will be accepted through February 14, 2021. The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg will offer 10 remote-learning classes during its new Winter Session that will run from December 7, 2020, through January 15, 2021. The classes are open to students from all Pitt campuses and will be taught in an asynchronous format. This format means that the class is not bound to a particular time or location, including both the course content and assessments, leaving it up to the students when they participate. Students will have to follow class guidelines and meet key deadlines. |

Surveillance Testing at Pitt-Greensburg Each week resident and commuter students are randomly selected to participate in a COVID-19 surveillance testing program. Knowing the prevalence of COVID-19 on our campus is a critical part of our effort to keep your student and the Pitt-Greensburg community healthy. If your student is selected, they should register, using the link provided in the notice they received, as soon as possible. Only 35-45 students are accepted for each testing date. If they are unable to register through the scheduling link provided, it may mean that all slots for upcoming dates are filled. Their obligation is then complete, for this round. If your student is taking classes remotely only and will not be on campus for any reason this semester, they do not need to come in for testing. Also, if they have tested positive for covid-19 in the last 90 days, they should not be retested in this round. Finally, there is no cost to completing the test. Should your student have any questions, they can contact Jodi Kraisinger at kraising@pitt.edu or at 724-836-9942. |
