Happenings

Congratulations to our students
who have earned Resident of the Month recognition. The Pitt-Greensburg Residence Life staff select residents who demonstrate the values of the community, engagement, and respect. Each residence hall is represented.

Pitt-Greensburg's Millstein Library partnered with President Gregerson and Academic Affairs to host the Celebration of Faculty Scholarship and Service as a virtual showcase of achievements. Please view The 2019-2020 Virtual Celebration of Faculty Scholarship and Service and join in celebrating many of Pitt-Greensburg faculty's recent accomplishments.

Highlights

The Pitt-Greensburg Theatre Company will present two performances of Henrik Ibsen's An Enemy of the People. Under the direction of Stephen A. Schrum, PhD, associate professor of theatre, the 11-member cast will perform an adaption of the stage play in a radio play format on the Zoom platform. The performance will also be streamed via Facebook Live.

Surveillance Testing at Pitt-Greensburg

Each week resident and commuter students are randomly selected to participate in a COVID-19 surveillance testing program.  Knowing the prevalence of COVID-19 on our campus is a critical part of our effort to keep your student and the Pitt-Greensburg community healthy.

If your student is selected, they should register, using the link provided in the notice they received, as soon as possible.  Only 35-45 students are accepted for each testing date.  If they are unable to register through the scheduling link provided, it may mean that all slots for upcoming dates are filled.  Their obligation is then complete, for this round.

If your student is taking classes remotely only and will not be on campus for any reason this semester, they do not need to come in for testing.  Also, if they have tested positive for covid-19 in the last 90 days, they should not be retested in this round.

Finally, there is no cost to completing the test.

Should your student have any questions, they can contact Jodi Kraisinger at kraising@pitt.edu or at 724-836-9942.
