Happenings The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg was one of seven organizations in Westmoreland County to receive funding through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP). Pitt-Greensburg will use the $500,000 award toward the construction of a new Life Sciences building on its Hempfield Township campus. The awards were announced in December 2020. For the 11th consecutive year, the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg has been designated a Military Friendly® School by Victory Media The Military Friendly® Schools list has come to set the standard for higher education institutions to provide the best opportunities for veterans and their spouses. This prestigious list provides a comprehensive guide for veterans and their families using data sources from federal agencies and proprietary survey information from participating organizations. Voices: Celebrating the Beauty and Diversity of America’s Literary Landscape All Pitt campuses are welcome to participate in Pitt-Greensburg's new reading series, Voices: Celebrating the Beauty and Diversity of America's Literary Landscape. This free virtual event will feature a group of accomplished authors and poets from diverse backgrounds that celebrate the richness of human lives and stories. Commencement 2021 As we look hopefully towards the spring and summer of 2021 and a return to normal activities, a variety of ways to recognize our graduates are in development. Although it is too early to have details available, we would encourage students and families to visit the Commencement 2021 webpage for information, as well as continue to monitor Pitt-Greensburg's COVID-19 webpage for updates. Should an in-person celebration be possible, it would be held the weekend of April 30-May 2 |
