Happenings

The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg was one of seven organizations in Westmoreland County to receive funding through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP). Pitt-Greensburg will use the $500,000 award toward the construction of a new Life Sciences building on its Hempfield Township campus. The awards were announced in December 2020.

What Students Can Expect from the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act. The University of Pittsburgh will distribute funds to approximately 15,200 students as part of the coronavirus relief package recently passed by Congress, the University announced today. The bill authorized $22.9 billion in COVID-19 relief funding for higher education and includes funding to be distributed directly to students, as well as funds to offset institutional costs caused by the pandemic.

For the 11th consecutive year, the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg has been designated a Military Friendly® School by Victory Media  The Military Friendly® Schools list has come to set the standard for higher education institutions to provide the best opportunities for veterans and their spouses. This prestigious list provides a comprehensive guide for veterans and their families using data sources from federal agencies and proprietary survey information from participating organizations.

Voices: Celebrating the Beauty and Diversity of America’s Literary Landscape All Pitt campuses are welcome to participate in Pitt-Greensburg's new reading series, Voices: Celebrating the Beauty and Diversity of America's Literary Landscape. This free virtual event will feature a group of accomplished authors and poets from diverse backgrounds that celebrate the richness of human lives and stories. Pitt-Greensburg student-writers will join these award-winning authors in sharing their work, too.
