News Special Commencement Ceremony for Class of 2020 part of Blue & Gold CelebrationThe University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg is ready to welcome alumni, students, faculty, and staff to campus this weekend for its annual Blue & Gold Celebration: Homecoming 2021. Nearly 20 percent of the graduating class of 2020 will be returning to participate in a special Commencement celebration on Saturday, Oct. 2. Justin Cannalley ’15 to receive PGAA Young Alumni Leadership Award: The Pitt-Greensburg Alumni Association (PGAA) will present its Young Alumni Leadership Award to Justin Cannalley ’15 at the Alumni Award Celebration Dinner on Saturday, Oct. 2, as part of Blue & Gold Celebration 2021. The Pitt-Greensburg PGAA Volunteer Excellence award will recognize Christopher J. Luccy, DMD, ’70, and posthumously to his wife, Barbara B. Luccy, RN, ’70 for their commitment to Pitt-Greensburg. The Volunteer Excellence awards will be presented as part of the Alumni Celebration Dinner planned for Saturday, Oct. 2, in the Hempfield Room at Pitt-Greensburg during the annual Blue & Gold Celebration. |

Virtual Visit with an Admissions Counselor Daily virtual
visits are offered Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8:30
a.m. Evening virtual visits are offered Monday through
Thursday from 8 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. At a daily virtual visit
you will be instructed to take a virtual tour of our campus and
then be able to schedule an online one-on-one meeting with an
admissions counselor. The Zoom virtual link will be provided to

Admissions Self-Serve Drive-Thru Campus Tour: Take a safe,
Saturday drive-thru tour of campus at your own
convenience! You'll have the opportunity to get a feel of
what campus is like at the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg.
Registration is Required Growth Through Knowledge and Understanding--Environmental Justice: Pitt-Greensburg and the Westmoreland County Diversity Coalition are again partnering to bring awareness to an important topic through their series, Growth through Knowledge & Understanding. This year, they will explore the topic of Environmental Justice. All talks are scheduled to begin at 7pm and will last for approximately 45-60 minutes. The talks will be available online. Each will be FREE and open to the public with multiple dates planned throughout the semester. Registration is required. Virtual International Speed Friending: Whether you’re an international student at Pitt looking to make American friends or a native speaker of English interested in meeting people from different cultures, this FREE virtual event hosted by the English Language Institute on the Pittsburgh campus in collaboration with Pitt Bradford and Pitt Greensburg is perfect for you! If you’ve ever heard of “Speed Dating,” this is similar. The only difference is that the objective here is to make friends. Education Resources Workshop: Looking for background information for an assignment, or doing research for a thesis or dissertation? Need help finding sources? This one-hour webinar will focus on the best resources for Education research and show how to get full-text content. This session is geared for all Education students, with special attention to services and features for those writing their thesis or dissertation. Registration is required. WestPACs Virtual Career Fair: Stop by Career Services (Chambers Hall, second floor) to find out how to register for this year's WestPACs Virtual Career Fair. Start your job search now or find an internship in your career field. So many opportunities! Registration is required. Pitt-Greensburg Admissions Virtual Nursing Session: During this one-hour virtual session, you will hear from our Director of Nursing, Marie A. Fioravanti, DNP, RN, and our admissions team. This online Zoom session will provide an overview of the Pitt Nursing program, learn about gaining clinical experience, and the job outlook. This information session is offered to all students. For zoom link, registration is required. Fall Break Diversity Student Coalition Trip to NYC: Pitt-Greensburg students will enjoy their fall break that runs from October 15 through October 17. Check out the trip to New York City that is hosted by the Diversity Student Coalition. The cost is $75. The bus leaves at 6 a.m. Friday and returns Sunday afternoon. PGAA Virtual Happy Hour is a great way for our alumni to
participate in the Blue & Gold Celebration. A great
event for those who live further away from campus, the PGAA
invites ALL of our alumni to stop in the virtual room and
catch up with classmates. Registration is required.
Blue & Gold Celebration Duck Dash: Student- and community-decorated rubber ducks will once again take to the waves of Slate Run Creek on campus for this year's Duck Dash, part of the Blue & Gold Celebration. The ducks will race for the glory of a spot in campus history!
